During my time living in Shanghai, I became fascinated by cats, especially their quirky and amusing behaviors, thanks to friends who owned them. Although I don't have a cat myself, I make it a nightly ritual to watch cat videos before bed. After seeing countless cats in various colors, I found black cats particularly humorous. Their entire bodies are so dark that only their glowing eyes give away their presence, making them seem like walking decorations in any space.

This series of works, BlackCatMatter, explores the dialogue between black cats and the spaces they inhabit. Through these artworks, I aim to present their playful and humorous side. Black cats, like living art pieces, blend seamlessly into our surroundings, adding a touch of lightness and joy to our lives.

The exhibition is held at a stylish, pet-friendly café, a space that perfectly complements the atmosphere and style of the artworks. This café is the ideal place to showcase and sell the works, where art, coffee, and the charm of cats come together, creating a space for people to relax and rediscover the humor in everyday life.
